Emma Shoe styling service is truly excellent. After having my little girl (over 4 years ago!) I had lost my fashion sense, forgotten what my style was and had hidden behind a sea of non-descript, unflattering clothes. I felt confused about fashion and although my wardrobe had plenty in it I really didn't know what to wear most of the time. I needed someone to look at me and my wardrobe and take control. So I decided to go for the full service - wardrobe detox, look book and then a full days shopping.
I thought it would be a bit scary opening my wardrobe to Emma. A bit like baring my soul. But she was so lovely and made me feel completely at ease. Amazingly she told me to hang on to some things I was sure she would ask me to chuck, and vice versa, and in other instances she sensitively pointed out (with use of photographs, etc) that I was wearing some styles that were totally wrong for me. I had 2 piles of stuff to be dyed, a dustbin liner full of stuff to take to the tailors for alterations and a heap of stuff to take to the charity shop.
Emma gave tips on how to organise my wardrobe so I would wear everything more and tonnes of ideas about how to put different outfits together. I was worried I wouldn't remember it all, but the Look Book (my new bible!) arrived in the post just days later. A great memory jogger!
Emma identified a few key items that my wardrobe was crying out for and then we went shopping....
